Born in 1984 in Taipei, Chien Yu Lin trained as a communication engineer as she continued her lifelong study of traditional Chinese painting. Influenced both by logical and creative thinking, she seeks opportunities to merge the two in her work. She just finishes her masters’ degree at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), New York University and continues her own journey in exploring any possibity of physical-digital interactivity.

She is interested in creating unexpected,surprising interactive experiences. Her work includes videos, installations and website interfaces as it focuses on storytelling, utilizing technology such as video tracking, projection mapping and physical computing as an invisible component that creates a magic feeling for the audience.
