Artist Statement

I am drawn to fleeting moments in everyday life that feel almost dreamlike. Through printmaking, subtle, silent, and often indescribable experiences are gently captured and transformed. These brief moments, almost imperceptible, stand in quiet contrast to the slow and labor-intensive process of etching. The instant is extended through time; what is momentary becomes suspended through material and process.

Drawing functions as the foundation of my practice: a space where ideas take form. Its immediacy and fluidity allow thoughts to emerge quickly, shaping the basis of my printmaking works.

If these works could be described in an abstract sense of time, it would be an afternoon in a day—a time when the sun is veiled by thin clouds, shimmering in silvery gray, like an interlude of the world, as if the world is taking a breath, preparing for the next brief and scattered rain.
